Yellow Couch Studio is comprised of three rooms, a lounge/live room that works well for guitar and drums, the control room, and the isolation booth.
Maybe it’s easier to just show you:
Lounge: Nice little space to listen to records and become inspired to make something great!
My beloved Peluso 2247se. As you may have gathered from the video series, Peluso Microphone Lab (www.pelusomicrophonelab.com) has been kind enough to support what we're doing here. Because of that, we generally have an exciting assortment of what I consider to be the best damn microphones being made these days.
Drums: We have a set of Ludwig Rockers
Universal Audio gear: UAD Satellite Quad, Apollo Quad, & Universal Audio 4-710d Preamp
Isolation Booth: This was inspired by Allyson Mitchell’s Hungry Purse. Doesn’t get more cozy than that!
Guitars: I have a Gibson L-00 & Es-125, Epihone Viola Bass, George Washburn Master Classic, small body Takamine, and a 70’s Yamaha acoustic that is not without its charm.
This is me trying to make everything sound as good as it possibly can. I promise to do that with every project that comes in here.
